Jeffrey Hart wrote a piece recently in the WSJ's Opinion Journal on how Russell Kirk's book "The Conservative Mind" and how Conservative thought has stood the test of the past 5 decades. I highly recommend that you read it. I think it is vital that every Conservative know the underpinnings of his/her philosophy. Check it out.
