Richard Gere claims to be the voice of the entire world.

That's right. According to NBC San Diego, The actor recently recorded a commercial message urging Palestinians to vote in this weekend's elections. In this commercial Gere says the following:

Hi, I'm Richard Gere, and I'm speaking for the entire world. We're with you during this election time. It's really important: Get out and vote."

Now, I'm all for fostering democracy. Even an extremely dysfunctional democracy like the Palestinian Authority. But I have a hard time with Richard Gere representing me throughout the World. Shut up, Richard. You speak for no one but yourself.
